Hi,
We have dual power supplies in our MG1010 chassis. We want to be able to get alarms for single power supply failures, or fan and temperature errors.
in LD 117, the whole list from PRT EDT ALL, has a list of MGC errors that we would expect to see. Forcing an error by shutting of a supply or pulling a fan is not generating any of these errors.
I added MGC errors into an EPT list. I've played with the escalate thresholds and time length. I verify these changes stick by looking in LD 117 as well as seeing the changes in UCM/SYSTEM/ALARMS.
I'm able to generate alarms, through our buffer box properly via TEST ALARM xxxx, as well as pulling a line card to get XMI errors.
I do not see these alarms in PDT rdall.
What is the trick to get MGCxxxx alarms to print out to the console and the event server?
Thanks
Wally
