Messenger service hung on startup

I had the server service not starting problem and fixed it by applying the Service pack again. Now the Messenger service hangs on startup. <br>

Anyone got any ideas?

I have almost a simular problem. Only de computer broser service does not start. the computer browser service is dependent of the messenger service and this one depentent of the server service. Although both messenger and server service seem to bee started the are in fact starting. you could try to remove the netbios interface en reinstall it and then aply the current servicepack. I did it but it did not resolve the problem i'm still looking for an solution.
