Messenger Log Offs after SP1??

I recently installed SP1 on a couple of machines at work. Ever since then ive had a lot of trouble with messenger. If i leave it idle for to long it logs me off. But it doesnt tell me im logged off until i try to talk to somebody. So i can think im available the whole time until i need to talk to somebody then it tells me im off. and i dont even know how long ive been off. Im on a T1 connection so i know thats not the problem. It only started after SP1 install. Is anyone else experiencing this problem? Are their any workarounds? or do i just have to wait for the next round of patches? Thanks for the help!

What version of Messenger are you using? The current one is 4.7.0104. Released only recently.

What options have you checked under Options / Preferences? Have you allowed Messenger to run in the background?

I have the latest version of Messenger. And i have made sure to allow it to run in the background. Sometimes it will go 2 hours w/o a log off. Then sometimes it will go 15 min. I know it cant be that random but thats whats happening.

I am having the same issue as Rentvillas. My messenger and Windows XP have the latest updates 4.7.2009

It logs me off all the time. I do not have it set to away if I am inactive.

What firewall are you using, are there any clues in the firewall logs?
