Messages in my Outbox

I have messages in my Outbox that would just not leave my outbox (Microsoft Outlook) even inspite of hitting "Send/Receive" several times.

This just started happening a few minutes ago. Any ideas ? I am connecting to an Exchange 5.5 server on Windows 2000 Server.

Are you able to send other emails? Do these messages in your Outbox contain large attachments?

Have you recently had your network account recreated, or moved domains?

Is it the outbox for the mail server account or an outbox for a .pst? If it is for the .pst then move the items to the outbox for the server account and temporarily remove your .pst.

If anyone calls and says "I know a little something about computers" just tell them to reformat it.
