I have a problem with a Intuity Audix. Some subcribers are reporting some messages being cut off (disconnected halfway through their messages) I have tried changing the setting on the quick disconnect timer setting 5-30 with no help. This Audix is connected to a Definity with loop-start lines. Any help would be apprieciated. Thanks

I remember from my Rolm days that female voices could sometimes get cut off... something to do with a relatively monotone voice in just the proper frequency range. Never could solve that problem other than encouraging the callers to be more animated in their messages.
Hope this helps... ;)

Thank-you, I have checked the mailbox sizes and current capacities and they have more than enough space. I have heard of this problem of female voices causing the voicemail to take it as a disconnect signal, but I thought this was fixed. This is a brand new Intuity Audix LX 1.1. Well maybe this is still a bug in the software. Thank-you for your help.

usually this is caused by the message length for a user being too short, not mailbox size, or people using cell phone with noise that is seen as switch hook flash. Change all the intuity analog ports in the pbx so they the ignore pulse digits. Static on a cell phone is sometimes mistaken in the pbx as switch hook flash. The ports have to have switch hook flash on though, so don't change that.

The major reason for this is the message length administered on the mailbox. I think this is assigned per COS. Check to confirm whether or not all the messages cut off at about the same time. Check the time with the message length time in the mailbox COS and change accordingly.

All the subcribers have a COS of 0 and I've set the minimum message length to 4 seconds with no help. Something new has arised, I an caller either outside or internal were to leave a message and did not push a # at the end of the message then the message would not be saved. This is getting to be frustrating. This was supposed to be an replacement under warranty. The first one would freeze up the ports one at a time and over a period of a month, all the ports would be locked. I've already put the old one back. Going to do some more testing on this. Thanks for all your help.

Phoneguy,

I am experiencing this same issue ( as well as a handfull of others). Were you able to get this resolved?

Please post back or email me directly mark@2synapse.com

I have had the last 6 LX installs with same issue, called avaya AUDIX they down loaded 5 patches to new LX's. make sure tech is on site cause they need to hit enter to get the system back up and running.

I got a replacement LX and problem was fixed.

Update. Avaya downloaded 6 maintenance patches and the problem was fixed.
