Messages are all GONE!!! Outlook 5

Hi,

All the messages in my Inbox have disappeared. My Inbox.dbx file is almost 100MB, but no messages appear. How can I retrieve my messages. I tried DBXtract, but had no luck. I need the messages from my Inbox urgently. Please help if you can.

If you have had a virus, some anti-virus software will quarantine the entire inbox. Look at the site for your AV software as to how to proceed, if you think this may be the problem.

This is Outlook Express 5, right? Inbox.dbx suggests it is OE.

Try creating a new "Identity", then import the folders from the old database. Do File>Import then choose the option not to import from an identity but from the file, then browse to your Inbox.dbx file.

I don't know whether this will work, by the way - it's just a suggestion...
