Hi all,
we are having the next error since a couple days ago. When a user tries to start the desktop on the second server of a farm (two servers), the next error is shown after entering the credentials:

You do not have access to logon to this Session.

I have tried to logon on the console with the same credentials (user/password/domain) and it worked fine.

If we try to start the desktop on the first farm server, it can be done.

Does any one have any idea on what can be happening here?

We are using Metaframe XP over Windows 2000 and the PDC is an NT 4.

Thank you in advance.

Have you checked the Citrix connection manager? If they don't have rights to log in via ica or rdp they will get that message.

The Citrix Connection manager is under the "metaframe tools" folder or you can view it via the "ica toolbar".

I believe it's the 2nd one from the top. Open that up and highlight the protocol your using and go to "view" and then "security".

Hope this helps.

Are they by any chance getting "Error 53"? If so, the server may be set to allow access to published applications only - accessing the desktop will cause the error. This comes into play in the "Advanced" options of the connection configuration, mentioned by enigma99 above.

Hope this helps  - Bill

Some update based on your information, guys:

Open the "Citrix Connection Configuration", highligh the "ica-tcp" connection, click on "Security" -> "Permissions" and ...

a pretty window says "Unable to display security information".

Any clue?

Thank you in advance.

Hey, I got the solution!
See white paper CTX345502 at the Citrix web page. It explains the problem and describes the solution.
