Make sure the shift key is not being used and what you think is your extension is really a different extension.

If you dial Meridan Mail Pilot number direct rather than the message key does it also not recognise you? Is it only related to the one extension or whole site?

couple of questions, is the number marped on that phone? and is marp turned on? make sure the mwk has the vm answer dn and not a number that is directed to mail.. what is the phone type.. 3900 mwk should be built on key 16.. if none of these help. post the tn of this set and another one that is working

Problem Fixed. Rebooted PBX. Problem was most users (not all) could not press the message key (m3904 key 19) then press # then password # to get their messages. The voice mail would tell them invalid password message. Also when users would leave you a message the voice mail would place an 8 in front of their ext number (85440) instead of just the 5440. I looked at the PBX and the voice mail system and could not see anything wrong. Rebooted the PBX and it took care of the problem.

Thanks for all the help.

Not your normal fix. Usually there is something that can be corrected in software or hardware. I would be cautious of using that type of resolution too often, or relying on rebooting to fix many issues.

Might just create more problems than it fixes.

key 16, and never reboot a working switch, it doesn't fix anything
