I have an Option 81C with Octel 250 Voicemail.
Yesterday morning there was a power surge in the building which caused 2 of my controller cards to get hungup. My vendor reset the cards within an hour.
My issue is that I am getting calls from users that they had voice messages from yesterday afternoon but no message waiting light was turned on. Today the Message Waiting Light was on with messages from yesterday not today. It's not all phones with the problem. I checked what TN's and these were TN's that were not on the hungup controller cards.
I am assuming that when the Nightime process runs that it released the MWA signal and that's why the MWA light was on.
Could someone explain to me how a message routes to Octel which then sends a signal back to the switch?
I need to find answers to explain to Management.
Thanks!
