Scenario:

We have two companies utilizing the same PBX: Meridian Opt.11

Company A is: Customer group 0 in the programming
Company B is: Customer group 1 in the programming

Company B request a new block of numbers in the 3000 range. We program them w/ VM as well. All is working fine, except, the Message Indication Light does not light up when a VM is left(phone has been swapped out physically). Individual can access VM, but does not know when a VM is left because the light does not light up.

We program our test phone using Company A's customer group number with a number from the 3000 block range and the message indication light lights up on that phone.

The programming between the two customer group is practically the same except for the CUST #, obviously. We tried outting the phone and rebuilding it, and swapping out the TN's and still no luck. Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

how does cust 0 call cust 1? for a msg lamp to work you will need a pri between the two customers.. i've gotten around that by using tenant service instead of multi cust.. the only major diff is you can not have number conflicts, but it beats the heck out of back to back pri;s and steering codes..

each tenant will still have unique routes and consoles.. tenants can share a route if allowed in teneant to trunks access..

If you are using CallPilot as the voice mail platform, then it will only support a single customer in the PBX.

To support multiple customers, you would need multiple CallPilot servers.

johnpoole is correct, multiple tenants are support by a single CallPilot, and trunk resources can still be segregated.

Are you really setup as a 2 CUST switch as CUST 0 and CUST 1 or where you just using that as a discription of what your trying to simulate???????

This is a Signature and not part of the answer, it appears on every reply.

This is an Analogy so don't take it personally as some have.

Why change the engine if all you need is to change the spark plugs.

What Meridian Mail calls multi customer is actually multi tennant in the PBX. Meridian Mail and CallPilot both only support 1 customer each. I did run into this at a site a couple of years back.
