I have a 4620 that the MW Lamp won't light on. The station is DCS'd from one location to the physical set. I have logged the 4620 off and back on, I have changed the set, I have torn down the mail box and rebuilt it, I have checked the station software 16 ways to Sunday, I have used the clear all amw XXXX, nothing has worked so far. Any suggestions??? Thanks.

A not very technical reply, but a possible solution (and forgive me if you've tried this) but we had a problem here with lights appearing where they shouldn't, and others not appearing where they should, and I was told by our Engineers that it was due to the fact that AUDIX needed to be configured to 'know' which turrets the mailbox light pointed to. It's the turret, not the login, which is relevant to AUDIX knowing which lights should go on.

Sorry if this is something you already knew (or indeed if I've got the wrong end of the stick)

I'm not sure where to check that. Can you help with that? Thanks.

Are all the other stations that are DCS'd working correctly?
Can u turn on the light using Leave word calling codes?
The voice mail will only try to light the light once. Meaning if there is another voice mail message left in the box, but the voice mail is already tried to light the light, then it won't try to light it again till all the new messages have been listened to.

Da-vi'do

P.S. For the best response to a question, please read FAQ222-2244. Also give the type & version of your voice mail & pbx system & preview your post to make sure it is complete & understandable. Be aware that if u don't answer a question, I usually will not continue to help u. Please leave a post on how u fixed the problem too.

Yes, there are other stations DCS'd and their lamps are working. Haven't tried the codes but will do that. Thanks so much.

And on the station form for that extension, does it say its' own extension in the 'message waiting lamp' field?

Yes, it does. I checked that 1st as well as to make sure on page 2, it says Audix. I also torn down the station and rebuilt it. I'm totally at a loss. Thanks for your help.

Do you have the correct switch id in the mailbox as all others at that site ...ie switch #2

on the 4620 Phone : Page 2 of Phone is set to

lwc Reception : Audix

Make sure this field below Blank

MWI Served User Type:

Audix Name : (Name of Node-name Audix)
in our case its Audix1

*We had an issue on a couple of Phones where it was set to:
MWI Served User Type: qsig-mwi

*I just blanked it out and gave me an option for
Audix Name ....

*a few phones were copied from a Phone set up wrong

*Was this ever working before on that Phone with the Msg
issue ??

*4620 is an Ip Phone ....what switch is it registered to ??

*Is there anything built in the Switch with The Voicemail
that thinks its "Local"

Good Luck

Phonuser:)

Thanks all for all your help. I got it! I had the wrong switch identified - I guess I had looked at it so long, I just couldn't see it, until you asked me to check it again. Thanks again, I appreciate your help.
