Message waiting indicator

I have a BCM 50 6.0 using IP1220 phones. I am trying to make the light blink whenever a voice mail is left. Can someone point me to the right area in either call pilot or business elements?

in callpilot go to change/delete mailbox

find the mailbox you want to change to enable message waiting indicator click change

make sure enable message waiting indicator is checked

I went into that area and "Enable Message Waiting" is already checked. Any other ideas?

The phones MWI may be broken. I would swap it out with another phone that you know works and see if it works.

As a silly question as I have come across with other things...Would I require a special key code for MWI or perhaps IP phones do not have this feature?

Good point...off the top of my head i do not believe the 12xx series phones even have a message waiting indicator.

I always install 11xx series phones

I do know for a fact the 11xx series have a MWI

they are overall much better phones

did you ever try to swap the phone out just to see if that was the issue
