The system is a G350-S8300 with IA770. Few IPphones 1608 and 1616.
The Audix is working fine. The only problem is that the wmi lamps are not working.
I leave a message on a station i do a status station and i see nothing on the message waiting field.
I know where the problem is but i can' t solve it.
Specifically i have configured the audix name and ip on the
change node-names ip screen. I configure a station with LWC Reception: audix, then i am trying to set the Audix name field but i get a response "must administer change node-names audix first".

I cannot find any solution. Any help appreciated.

Does your "MWI Served User Type:" have an entry?
Blank this out and the "AUDIX Name:" field will magically appear!

Sorry, read your post again and realised this wasn't the problem.

So what happens when you change node-names audix? Have you put in the node-name/ip address?

The ip should be entered on the "change node-names audix" screen.

Yes i have configured the ch node-na ip succesfully. The problem is oh the ch station xxx screen page 2. MWI is blanc as it should be. When i am trying to set the audix name i get a response "must administer change node-names audix first".

Yes i have succesfully administered the ch node-names ip screen with the audix name and ip. The problem is on the ch station xxx screen page 2. When i am trying to put the audix name field i get a response: "must administer change node-names audix first".

change node-names AUDIX
NOT
change node-names IP

No problem with the change node-names ip screen. I have configured it without a problem.
Problem is on the change station screen. MWI field is blanc so the Audix name field is there. But when i try to fill it with the audix name as administered in the ch node-names ip screen i get a response "must administer change node-names audix first".

If you remove your entry for audix in the NODE-NAMES IP screen, then add to the NODE-NAMES AUDIX screen, maybe this will fix your problem with the Audix name field in the station.

sorry for the repeats but something is wrong with my browser

You suggest that i should configure ch node-names audix with the audix name and ip address. If i do that should i also delete the entry on the change node-name ip screen?

Thanks for your replies Ronster. I ve already tried that but nothing.

Yes, and upgrade your browser. ;-)

Sorry, out of ideas.

This is actually a very simple fix. IA770 uses QSIG-MWI. You should not have an audix node-name configured but you must have your hunt group, trunk group and system parameters configured correctly for MWI to work. As you state a G350 I assume you have an S8330B or C with H.323 Messaging.

Please click the link for the install guide.

Check page 51 for the station display but I would check your screeens against the whole manual.

change "MWI Served User Type:" on Page 2 of EACH station to "Qsig-MWI", as well as following the guide above.

LWC Reception and LWC Activation has no effect for the IA770, the only node-name that has any effect on the IA770 is the IA770 integration-IP address/name, which is used when setting up the signalling group for the IA770
