I have an Octel 250. I frequently add/remove mailboxes. which are class of svc 1 and type 0. When I add a MB in menu 8, the message waiting indicator is always defaulted to N. How can I change the default to Y ?

Not sure if this can be done. Do you use Procomm? If so, write a script for adding mailboxes. Where I work, we are adding mailboxes every day. Scripting will make mailbox additions less tedious. If you need help, let me know.

If you use mailbox manager you can make a templet that will let you fill in the name and number and password and fillin the rest per the templet

ALB....Phil has it nailed, use procomm and make a script. I have been doing it for years and adding mailboxes is sooooo much easier. Oh ya, the default of -N- for message waiting indicator cant be changed. Long live the original Octel ( the Avaya clone sxcks :) ))))))

No I don't use procomm. The old Octel 100 had almost the same menu for building boxes, but the msg wtg prompt was defaulted to yes. I guess I'll just have to exercise my right index finger a little more to put that "Y" in there. No big deal folks and thanks for the replies. Have happy Holidays.
