Hey guys,

One of our customer's is using a Panasonic KX-TDA15 with a KX-TVM50 voicemail unit.

When a call comes in through the ISDN, the call gets forwarded to the TVM on extension 500, which then goes through its custom service menus. Option 2 goes directly to mailbox 201 which is for school absences, this shows a message waiting light once a voicemail message has been left on the reception handset, which is extension 201.

If the caller presses option 4 they get forwarded to hunt group 601, which has several handset in it, including extension 201. The issue we're having is that after a certain amount of time of ringing the handsets (about 15 seconds), the call fails and prompts a menu: press 1 to leave a voicemail or press 0 to speak to the operator. Pressing 1 leaves a voicemail in the general mailbox 998.

Ideally, any messages at this point would be pointed instead towards mailbox 201, or the mailbox 998 to show a message waiting light on extension 201. Any Panasonic documentation I've looked at has not revealed any answers to myself.

Does anyone have some insight on the matter? Thank you.

if the call is going to group 601 and then to voicemail, it will have to go to a mailbox 601. if this is not setup, it will go to 998

you can setup a mailbox 601 and have a button on the extension 201 "message waiting 601". this will light when a message is left.

Maybe have a look in the Voicemail around system parameters/Parameters/PBX Paramaters to see what the transfer sequence is set for, I normally set it to FXD ( FX is the default)

Hey guys,

Thanks for the responses so far, it's been really helpful. If possible, we would like calls coming to the hunt group 601 to continue ringing and not go to voicemail at all. Despite my efforts to get the TDA to do this, we cannot seem to get it to route to the correct voicemail.

Is there any way to amend this from the TDA? We do not have remote access to the TVM and would like to avoid another site visit if possible.

we would like it not to go to any voicemail at all!

Thank you.
