stop the MM mailbox monitor service it will also stop the mm message waiting service
To reset the message waiting go to program files\Avaya modular messaging\mwiserver\
find the mwistate.mdb and rename it to .mdb.old
restart the MM mailbox monitor and MM message waiting service
and any other MM service that is not running
