Message Light Stays On 1

Legend 4.1, V 1.2 Merlin Mail Release 3, MLX-10DP phone. Light stays on, V-mail has no new or old messages in box. Any idea's? Thanks.

The 2 biggest culprits of this are:

1) Another MLX phone has accidently sent a text message to that extension. Use soft keys on the extension to read & delete message.

2) That extension is assigned more than one mailbox.
