I am trying to resolve a problem on a Call Pilot 100 SW 3.1 and a CICS with SW 7.1. The Receptionists set (221) does not indicate a 'Message for you' when there are messages. The message indicator box is enabled. The other users do not have this trouble.
I restarted the Call Pilot and this did not solve this. Next I reinstalled the VM Box but still no change.
Any sugestions would be most appreciated.
Thank you.

Is the mailbox tied to that extension? Meaning did u assign the ext when setting up the mailbox?

Yes the extension is assigned. Everything was working fine until a power outage and the only thing that appears not to be functioning correctly is Local 221 MBox.
Is there a way to reset the Message indicator so that I don't have to do a STARTUP on this CPilot?

Are you sure that the mbox is 221 the reason i asked is because alot of times that ext gets assigned the GD mbox which s really 100, i would double chk that info...a quick chk would be to see if you can send a msg to that mbox by pressing f980>221.

Good suggestion norstarboy. I am pretty sure that the VM Box is assigned to 221 but I will look at the status of the GD because it may be a conflict if it has somehow become enabled.
Thank you.

Make sure that Static Time & Date are not on. Do Feature #806.

Just do a F981 and see if it says Log: or Password:
Log means do as Norstar boy suggested and that is to go into MB 100 and tell it to be with Ext:221, this will send the signal to 221 and ask for a Password not Log.

Digitel maybe right but only if reception is a 7208 model....other wise it would say MSG over the Soft Key.

Here is an update. The GMB is disabled. The MB is 221 and is assigned to 221. I tried a different set(that I know is working properly) and no change. The M7208's are Rel 16 or newer. I tried an M7310 (REL 23)and the MSG shows up correctly. Changed the port and MB to 224 to get her going.
I will check Static Time & Date status DigitelD. Thank you for the replies and help from everyone.

That is what was causing the problem DigitelD. Thanks...you get a Star.
