Message button on 5410 & 5420 phones ?

Why is it when a User pics up the phone to get messages they have to press the message button twice to get into VMS? thanks

Known Bug listed in Avaya release docs:-

Lift handset on 2410 and press "Messages" key, nothing happens


Avaya ref 21768, Scheduled for fix in the Maintanence release
