Message being recorded in incorrect mailbox

When someone calls in and is transferred to voicemail for a staff member, they hear the correct person's voicemail greeting, but the message that they leave somehow ends up in someone elses mailbox instead of the person's mailbox for whom it was intended.

This doesn't happen every time but often enough. It happens to different users and at different times of the day.

Any advice or help is appreciated!

We have the Starplus STSe phone system with 24-button digital display phone and Flash voicemail card. We have five incoming lines and 10 extensions and a ranger cordless phone.
