When the AA is on. Where in the system can you tell them to press a number to goto a new place. And the activate those number i have all of the messages recorded I just need to know how to setp up the Menu system. any help thanx.

It is done in the System Programming Menu of the Merlin Mail System. Login to Sys Admin Mailbox (9997), and go to the Main Programming MEnu, then option 3 (AA), and opt to Change the menu. When the voice prompts for "selector codes" you are where you need to be. The Selector Code is the button pressed.

How do you enter this mailbox, can you do via a MLX-16DP or do i need to use like the recptionist phone or login directly to the audix system. If i can login like i normally would to listen to my voicmail can the password be changed without having some type of dire effect, say a cascadeing effect and the systems password have no been changed for certain things. I have no manuals and everthiing that i am doing is fly by the seat of my pants, sort of say. So I really appreciate any help.

Is this an Audix Intuity voice mail? If so, you need to log on to the voice mail computer, select audix admin and list subscribers to see the mailbox number of your auto attendant. After noting the mailbox number (day and night if you are using both), cancel the list function and use change subscriber to modify the mailbox. Go to page three, arrow down to the selector code to be used and enter the extension a caller should be transfered to and the action ("t" transfers the caller to an extension, "c" sends the caller directly to a mailbox). Save your changes and if necessary repeat the process for the night attendant. If you need a cheat sheet for this, drop me a message at patj@lazertel.com
