Setting up sytem speed dials for 1st time... I set up a number In winSPM as speed dial 600. when I do:

"4400-Series telephone users without programmed Feature buttons should select an SA or ICOM button, lift the handset, and dial # plus the System Speed Dial code"

I only get to #60... before it goes to a busy signal. what did I miss.

Thanks in advance
JEB

Hi Jeb,
It sounds like you have something else numbered in the system that is using 6XXX. Maybe a pool or something like that has been renumbered. If you print out your dial plan you will be able to look for the conflicts.

Thanks Foneboy, ...

...but no joy there. a dial plan report shows no other items with 6xx system numbers. I noticed that you referenced 6xxx. we are using a 3 digit dial plan and the system is only letting me dial 3 digits < #60 > before going to an error tone. is that significant? what else could i look for?

System Speed Dial is a feature code, thus it is not impacted by the dial plan.

Can you dial the System Speed Dial from any other extension? Is the extensions in question restricted? Have a lower FRL? Forced Account Code?

Does the System Speed Dial number include the 9 for ARS?

Thanks TTTommy,

It was, indeed, no "9" in dial out entry. It just threw me that it went to error b4 I finished the complete #600.

Have a great day
