We had a Merlin plus lose memory the other day and I have reprogrammed all the other features back, but am having trouble with the ASA feature.
The default port for it is 18.
It was programmed on port 19, which is the busy buster port.
I removed 18 as the ASA port, removed 19 as the Busy Buster port, and tried to assign the ASA port to 19. It doesn't let me. I get the wave off when I try.
yes, I know I can put back 18, place it there and just change extension 18 to 19, but the person who owns extension 18 would like to keep his extension number(sheesh)
Any suggestions?

Too bad you dont have a Legend. The printout feature for things like this, is truly wonderful. Im not sure why it wouldnt let you assign ASA on 19. Make double sure, that you really did remove Busy Buster from 19. And if all else fails, the picky guy shall suck it up, and change his extension.

The Merlin Plus does have a nice printout for system configuration, if you have the printer adapter.

Make sure you don't have Call Report assigned to line 19; that is also not mixable with ASA. Both Busy Buster and Call Report factory default to x19, so even if you aren't using Call Report, it's probably still assigned there.

Thank you very much for the info. I didn't know that there was something else besides the Busy Buster on 19.
