i am trying to switch AA 1 to AA 2 but it won't let me do it because it is in the switch mode, i assigned all lines to AA2 and AA 1 was not assigned any lines. How do i change this?

Can you tell us if your system is set up so that incoming calls ring a few times before the auto attendant picks up the call?

If so, then you might need to look for a phantom mailbox pointing towards AA1. Once you find the mailbox, point it towards AA2. On the Magix system I support, the mailbox number is 790.

If it ain't broke, I haven't fixed it yet.

It is set up so the calls go right to the AA.

Could still be a phantom extension built as AA. He needs to provide more info on the hardware used. There are many ways to accomplish this.

1. PRI > Route to phantom extension built as AA. To find if this is the case Print PRI and Extension Directory. Find your main number in PRI print. This number will have a altered destination or if the extension were built to match incoming DIDs then you will not find the altered destination. Look at extension directory to find the extension that matches the last digits of your main number or the altered destination. You should be able to dial this extension internally and have AA answer. Go into messaging and enter in the same extension it should be built as the AA in question. If all of this is true then delete the mailbox and build it as the AA of your choice.

There are many other ways to accomplish this but you should post a system print, a extension directory print and a general trunk print and the last four digits of your main number to start with. It must first be determined what hardware you have so that it can be determined how it gets from A to B.
