Merlin Messaging R2.5 1

Hello,
Anyone know if the Merlin Messaging R2.5 has a call recording feature? I know Partner Mail VS has this option where you can program a button on multiple telephones to activate this feature.

Only if you upgrade the Messaging Module to R4.0 AND the Magix processor to R4.0

If I have a Legend R7, and upgrade to R4 messaging will I still get the feature?

You need to upgrade BOTH the processor software AND the Magix Messaging modules to R4. You can only upgrade the Legend processor to Magix R4.0 software if it is a CKE4 or CKE5 processor. You cannot upgrade a CKE3 to Magix software. For the Messaging module - you need to get the R4.0 upgrade kit - which include a one-time use firmware upgrade on a PCMCIA card AND a software admin/upgrade CD-ROM for upgrading the software on the module's hard drive. To upgrade the processor - assuming it is a CKE4 or better - you need to get the R4.0, V7.0 Magix processor software upgrade - also available on a PCMCIA card. Of course - a cheaper solution is to splice a simple taperecorder connection between your handset and phone - which you can get at any Radio Shack.
