I am installing an old merling messaging for a customer.

I am having a brain fart and cant remember, it is in slot 02
comes up as 008 opt.

how do I add to group 770???

i know how to get there in programming ,,, but what is the extension numbers of the two ports, or logical ids, or slot port numbers????

I cant remember for the life of me how that is done????

The Extension Numbers, and the Logical ID's depend on what's in the module(s) in front of the Messaging Module.

So, when it asks for the extensions to add to the Calling Group, dial *-(the 2-digit slot number)-(the 2 digit port number)

If your case, *0201, *0202, etc. up to the number of ports that you have a port license card for.

Thank you for that info. I entered 0201 and 0202 but yet when I do a page down (inspect) there is nothing there, no matter how many times I enter 0201 and 0202????

And nothing still ( the studdered beep ) WHEN I dial 770.

I must be getting old, I have literally installed hundreds of these yet I cant for the life of me figure out this thing this weekend????

Ahh you are very wise. LOL

Ok now they are in the group.

But still no answer when I dial 770.

Did you setup 770 as an integrated VMI group? Did you make the Hunt type linear? Did you rotary enable the two voicemail ports?
