How do I unlock a mailbox - one of my staff locked it up by using the wrong password more than the 5 time limit. I have tried deleting it and resetting it up but it remains locked.

Make sure you are deleting the right mailbox. If you delete a user box, there is no way it will come back locked. It will be a brand new mailbox in the system.

If you deleted it - you need to re-create the mailbox from scratch.

I deleted it and recreated going to through 9997 then 9 and then 4 and so on then recreated it however it still comes up locked I really need to unlock it.

If you went to 9997, it's Merlin Mail, not Messaging. What is the Class of Service for the mailbox in question?

As well, If the mailbox is locked....reinitalizing the mailbox password will unlock the mailbox. So, the procedure would be...9997, 9, 4, 6, mailbox number, 3.

If you can get into voicemail administration, and choice for programming mailboxes - as indicated that you did - and you successfully deleted the mailbox in question - and then recreated it - and the mailbox is still "locked" - then there is a problem with the software on your hard drive - and you will probably need a replacement drive and reprogramming of the voicemail - since there is no way to save existing data. You could try going into the security menu (listen for the options at the main programming menu) - and change the security settings that affect locking a mailbox - so that only a warning is sent - rather than locking a mailbox. Then go back and delete and recreate the mailbox in question. This may work - and may not. If not - you need a replacement hard drive
