We have a 4 port merlin mail standalone unit, when someone call's and tries to leave a message they get a message saying there is no message space available.I checked the class of service for these users and they are a 10,this problem does not seem to be with any specific user but more system wide.

any thought's

Check for assigned mailboxes that are not really used any more.

Connect via the serial port with a null modem cable and you can do a mailbox report.

Re-booting will do some housekeeping but may Kill it too.

We have gone thru the mailboxes that should have been deleted and we feel we are up to date.

re booting seems to help for a short time (a day)

I have never connected anything we a null modem, can you explain more?

I have found a relacement mermail,my question is can i take the information currently in the system and load to the new harddrive?

Well, since you already have a replacement lined up, there's no need connecting to the old one. (Unless you want to see just how it's programmed)

But, as far as moving the info from the old to the new, that can't be done.
