Merlin Mail for Merlin II

I had a customer try changing the time on the MerMail 3.1 system. Something got changed and system doesn't work at all! When called, no greeting comes on and after 2-3 seconds it says " transfered to system operator". I tried dialing *7 and all other combinations of numbers but it still transfers and rings Ext. 200 (operator). I am in com port 1 and looking for a config file to try to reconfigure the parameters. Any suggestions!??

I thought a Merlin Mail R3 could only be used on a Legend, so correct me if I'm mistaken. Seeing as how the problems started with the customer trying to change time and date, I would start there to correct the problem. If you can get to a prompt for the drive letter through the com port, type in the command 'date' and hit enter. Verify the date is set correctly. Then type the command 'time' and hit enter to verify the time is set correctly. I've seen these older voicemails act really weird when the time and date gets corrupted. Also check programming for your voicemail hunt group. Good luck. Brian Cox

Also check to make sure that the touch-tone gate is turned to Off.
