Merlin Magix Voice mail not working - ring beep - green status light constant

Ok so i have been scratching my head for a while now but i will give everything I know and see is there is any help out there:

First we had a flood that did dump water on the whole system
all phones are still working - we did lose a couple of ports but all users are still functioning ( we dont need every port we have)
When you call voice mail (770) you get a ring-beep but it never picks up
All phones that had VM's still have MW light on
770 is still programmed to coverage group 30 with all extensions in group
Green status light is steady on Voice mail slot (5)
We have rebooted system and re-seated VM slot and card

we have alos used the reset VM pin hole on card - LED's will all flash then go dark
currently all LED's are dark on card but status light is green solid

anyone got anything for me - even a point in the right direction would be helpful

From your symptoms I would recheck the voicemail hunt group 770 to make sure the correct extensions are assigned.

You can print the extension directory or group calling to find the vm port extension numbers. You should hear a voice answer when one of those extensions are dialed. If integrated vm programming is lost you will still hear a voice that indicates that the call will be transferred to the operator.

I'm going to suggest that the VM system has gone toes-up

hunt group is circular with all the extensions(exsmogger)
the extensions (7132,7133,7134,7135,7136) for the VM do not pick up they just continuously ring (CarGoSki)
all programming is still in the system
all ext's are in the group

when calling VM internally you get the ring-beep
no lights on VM slot except for steady green status light

Sounds like the system isn't seeing the voicemail. Backup your programming to the PCMCIA card and then try doing a board renumber.

Turns out the HDD was shot:
we bought a new card slot from Ebay ( coincidentally from exsmogger - i didnt notice till my boss showed me the receipt from ebay)

popped it in and re configured voice mail

while everyone did lose any stored messages we do once again have voice mail -
