I have found this forum to be very helpful so just want to say thanks up front. Here is my question: We have a main number that when called you get the greeting with options to press 1-5 but if the caller does not press anything or zero's out the call gets transfered to no one, it just rings. How can I programm this to allow the calls to ring to certain phones in the office? My experience is mainly Nortel and fairly new to Merlin systems. Any help is appreciated.

Depending on your voice mail, you should be able to set the "Dial-0/Timeout" option to go to an extension that someone will answer.

It would help to know which voice mail you are using, and which Merlin system.

Tommy...I have already programmed the dial-0 timeout to one ext but they want it to ring on all extensions in a hunt group. Not sure if this is possible. Merlin Magix release 4.0 v7.0..not sure about the phone system looking into it.

You can send the dial zero/time-out calls to a Hunt Group - set up as Hunt Type of Group Ring, and Group Type of Autologin. However - if no one answers - the call will ring until the caller hangs up. A Group Ring hunt group is ineligible for voicemail coverage - without a workaround. You can put up to 20 extensions in a calling group - so you could ring 20 phones that way.
