Does anyone know what type of cable would be used to connect to the Admin port on the Magix? I made up a 355AF adaptor but need to know about the cable. I used the following pinout & seting with a straight cat-5 but no good:
RJ45 (9Pin Female)
1 blue 9
2 orange 8,6,1
3 black 4
4 red 5
5 green 2
6 yellow 3

Speed: 38400
Bits 8
Parity: None
Stop: 1
Flow control: None

The Cable is a D8W, same as an MLX set.

Baud can be up to 2400.

Remote, maybe only 1200.

38,400

none
1

Is used for the Merlin Messaging RS232 port.

Um, if you're connecting to the admin port on the magix, you need to be running SPM, not a terminal program. SPM will automatically set the baud rate, at a blazing 2400 or 1200.

Everyone, Thanks. Different bits and what not help get us up and running with this. I really appreciate everyones help.
