Merlin Magic CO too quiet

after recent change from NEC to Merlin Magic system everyone who calls in complains that the audio is too quiet....after doing some test it only happens on the incomming lines not local extensions....on all phones....any line...is there a setting to change the gain on the mic for phones...

Speak louder, or move closer to the phone, or make sure nothing is blocking the voice path to the phone. Some people block the path with paper clutter and other junk on the desk.

You didn't say what type of service the system has. There is a small tweak that can be done on T1.

So, what are they using for Local Service?

T1, PRI, T&R Loop Start?

we are running Avaya Merlin Magic with 4CO and 22Ext, Message Board and thats it....simple setup...and handsets are Avaya 4424d+

and same users just new hardware....
