Merlin magic r1.5+ with PRI

Calls dial fine with LD 1+10 and 7 digit local. Need to have 605-xxx-xxxx outbound calls sent as 10 digits calling out. Right now dialing 9-605-123-4567 only sends 7 digits so the pri carrier is seeing 605-1234 instead of 605-123-4567

Poked in tables under ARS but can’t figure this out. Tried various ARS inputs and googled but can’t find this specific issue.

Any help please? Haven’t touched a magix in 10+ years.

is 10 digit local dialing something new to this user?

In the US specific area code will be forced to do 10 digit dialing for local calls starting Oct 24th instead of 7 digit.

Dermis and feline can be divorced by manifold methods.*

Do you need the entire area code of 605 to be dialed as 10 digits, or just those prefixes that are local to you? (with the remaining prefixes dialed as 1-605-xxx-xxxx)?

Can the 605 area calls be dialed as 1-605-xxx-xxxx?

Have they just implemented the 10 digit dialing in this area, and now local digits calls be dialed as 1-605-xxx-xxxx (or 605-xxx-xxxx) and still be considered local?

You can build 6-digit tables, where the first 3 digits are the area code and the last 3 are the prefix.

If 7 digit calls need to become 605 or 1-605 plus 7 digits, add the additional digits to the default local calling table.

ARS starts on page 84 (112 of the pdf)

Thanks for the response, we need only certain 605-xxx-xxxx numbers that are dialed as 10 digits and are local, (the carrier is forcing 10 digits to this area code with certain prefixes for local calls), however they need to maintain their 7 digits local calling and add in 605-xxx-xxxx 10 digit dialing was hoping that this could simply be matched based on what the user is dialing.

For example, this is what we want if they press;
User dials 9-605-555-1234, it sends the number 605-555-1234 to the carrier.
User dials 9-1-605-556-2345 is sends 1-605-556-2345 to the carrier
User dials 9-557-3456 sends 557-3456 to the carrier

The Users know when to dial 7 digits, 10 digits, and 1+10 to make the carrier happy (Tri-State Area in the US yay!)
Right now what has never worked is the 1st example. The 10 digit 9-605-555-1234 is sent to the carrier as 605-5551 (the first 7 digits are only registered) even though the user dials 9-605-555-1234, the user can't even enter all 10 digit

Everything routes out a PRI via the 70 pool

In Avaya IP Office, these 3 short codes in ARS cover what i need, how do I do this in the magix ars?
1xxxxxxxxxx, 1N
605xxxxxxx, 605N
xxxxxxx, N

I have attached the Magix ARS print, I tried adding 605 in table 1 and add 605 as other digits, I have also experimented with other settigns.

You need to create a 6 digit table, with the Area Code (605) and the prefix (555) entered.

For that table, Absorb will be left as 00. meaning don't remove any dialed digits.

Other digits will be left blank

Thanks for the update TTT, I've made the following change to table 1 to be a 6-digit and from the flow chart it looks like entry 1 should be the area code and entry 2 be the exchange/prefix, in this example the customer wants to dial 9-605-217-xxxx and have it route as 605-217-xxxx to the carrier. Suffice to say, not working. Does this look right below?

well I verified my ars 6-digit table #1 is working correctly on the magix. It appears when the call is sent to the T1, it only sends 7 digits when it matches on that ARS table #1. When I change the pool to 890 (from 70) for the ARS table #1 and route that same call to loop start lines, it sends the 10 digits like it should.

70 pool =24 T1 channels
890 pool= 2 analog loop start lines

What in the world would make the T1 strip the first 3 digits off by itself? (LD calls to the t1 work fine and all 11 digits are sent)
