Currently we have 24 trunk lines for PRI from line 817(T1) to 840(t24). we are changing the telco and will reduce to 16 channels.
What will I need to do for this change?

Since you don't currently have Primary ISDN service, it will need to be configured. But before we go there, you need to print your current configuration for reference. Next, you should print the PRI FAQs in this forum, mentioned earlier. Next, if you do not have the System Planning guide and the Feature Reference Guide documents for the Legend, they can be downloaded from support.avaya.com. Then you get to read and understand about configuring PRI service on the Legend. Now the BCH and DCH for your switch, I believe are trunks 817 - 832 for the BCH and 840 for the DCH pertaining to slot 5. For the DCH(840) it must not be programmed anywhere, in any group, or assigned, etc. As you read and review the documentation, this stuff should become apparent. In the process as it will be noted in the documentation the exisiting programming on the 100D module must be deleted completely in order to program for the PRI.

Take it step by step as you do this. Good luck!

Thanks so much for your advice.
We had the circuit cutover last Friday afternoon.
Apparently TPAC brought in cisco router and need to connect directly to the DS1 bypassing csu/dsu. Unfortunately, it needed a cross-over cable. I was able to make one right away and the circuit was able to sync up.
TPAC didnt have FXS card for the fax lines. so as of today still waiting for that.

thanks all for your infos and advice.
So closing this particular subject.
