Hello,

I have a Merlin Legend and i'm all too aware of how to enter in the alphanumeric "Account" codes to label the speed dials. This is not a problem at all. but i recently recieved a request to add or change an account code that doesn't have any speed dial number associated to it and via WinSPM, i can't figure out where these non-speed dial numbers/account codes are being stored so that i can manage them.

I checked my System Speed Dial Directory, Extension Directory Listings, Outside Lines/Trunks, Group Calling, and Posted Messeges and could not find any of the codes they gave to me that do not have speed dials associated with them.

Also, if anyone is googling this same question as I am and is looking for general management/config info:
Any assistance would be appreciated.

Maybe they are stored as personal speed dial numbers instead of system speed dials.

It could be, which means i have no central management for the feature. I checked and saw that you could number a personal speed dial from 1-50, but 2 things throws me off on that: 1. The request is for 4 digit account codes and 2. they have labels added to them.

The way the client explain how they use these codes is that they enter the 4 digit number either prior or during a call, which made me think they'd be under 'Account Codes', but when i pulled up the report on Account Codes, theres nothing listed there.

Is the code used to allow long distance calling or to insert the code into the call accounting from review?

The later - insert the code into the call accounting from review.

Yeah, no this would be something thats definitely centralized, i know personal speed dials are centralized, but i mean centralized in one section, as opposed to pulling the data from the phones. The account codes are already inputted into the phones, so i don't have to configure that, its more the labels than anything else, but i'm thinkin this something i just can't configure on the merlin and its going to be something the accounting department is going to have to fix on their end.

I definitely appreciate your time though! Happy New Years!

did you look into ARS under tables, sub A & B digits

run35, the merlin legend/magix does not store "account code" data, with the exception of including it in the smdr output. perhaps you are describing a different system feature or function. account code entry is either required or not required per station. it is also allowed on a voluntary basis to be included in smdr output, but the code data is not part of system programming.
