If I get a call and answer at X10 and then transfer to an Ext, (11 for example) it will ring and not transfer to VM. If I take the same call and press XMXfer and then Ext 11 it WILL got to VM.

When the AA picks up it answers the call and is programed to Press 1 for X11, Press 2 for X12 etc.

The call will ring a few times and then go back to the AA, it never rings the X11 or goes to VM.

I have checked the Transfer return times, the Cover groups, the MLM is programed right and the exts are set up. I am totally stumpped.

It was Split, I changed it to All AA.

I changed the opr setting to 768, but I am not sure if I did it in the right place.

After you log in, and press 9, it will be one of the options under system parameters, option 1 - make sure the call service operator position is set to 768. In the autoattendant, the zero/timeout action should be transfer to call service operator - which is 768 - and goes to the lowest logical extension - which is 10.

The Call answer service opr is 768, the AA1 timeout is transfer opr.

How are the calls going to the operator first? Are you using an overflow group? From waht I understand - an outside call comes in - rings 4 times at the operator and is he/she doesn't answer - goes to AA1 for routing. Is that correct? If you did not do that with an overflow group - but used delay answer in voice mail - you need to change it - to using an overflow group. Are all of the lines attached to 770?

That is correct, and there is no overflow group, but I am using delayed answer, all the lines 10-16 are attached to 770. What do I need to do?

Group calling 770 is X18 and x19 the VM ports.

Coverage groups covered is 30

Group coverage30 is X 10-16.

Group Calling 770:

Enter cover overflow or Qcc LDN

it wont take any numbers I give it.

Take the lines out of 770. Set the voicemail back to immediate answer. Take an unused calling group (say 791). Keep it at the defaults. Assign all the phone lines to it (801,802, etc or pool(s)). By the way how many lines/pools do you have? Anyway, then choose overflow, 791, 770, number based (backspace out the 1, enter 99),time based overflow (backspace out the 0, put in 15) - which gives you about 4 rings before calls flow to the AA. Then, in voicemail admin, setup a mailbox 791, type 15. Now, whenever you want to adjust the number of rings at the operator console - before calls go to the AA - just increase or decrease the time based seconds (about 4 seconds per ring).

When you say all the lines (10 - 16) are attached to 770 - what did you mean?? Lines are 810, 802, etc. Pools are 70, 890, etc. The only members for 770 - should be the two voice mail ports.

Here is an all system report to look at.

Yes,

I have three POTS lines.

I have Pool 70 which is 801, 802 and 803.

30 is 10-16 (the exts)

770 is 18 and 19 (the VM ports)

right??

The reason I asked is that every pool under the sun seems to be assigned to extension 11 - it should only be pool 70. And pool 70 should only have 3 lines in it (801, 802, 803). I would check under lines/trunks, pools to make sure only 70 shows up and that you only have the 3 lines (801, 802, 803) in pool 70.

As for the rest...
OK - so under extensions, more, group calling, line/pool, 770, remove pool 70. Now for 791 - add pool 70. Then press overflow, 791, etc - as stated above. Set up 791 in voicemail as a mailbox type 15 - which points to AA1. Set up voicmail to immediate anser vs. delayed answer.

70 "890 891 892 893 894 895 896 897 898 899"

890 - 899 are defaults are they not?

Ok I took pool 70 from 770 and added it to 791.

Then in Exts group calling, overflow I put in 791 and it says enter cover overflow group number? What do I put in there?

770 is what you put in, then do the rest regarding number based and time based overflow.

Also - go into system programming, start, lines/trunks, pools, 70, entry mode, inspect - and make sure ONLY 801, 802 and 803 show up. If more trunks are listed - go back and delete them - then do another inspect - to make sure only 801, 802 and 803 show up.

Don't forget about adding the mailbox 791 - as type 15. Then check out how it works and report back.

I had this sme exact problem 2 weeks ago. I was told to make sure all the port in the voice mail were in Rotary. After I programmed them in Roatry. All the normal transfers from AA or from operator wokred greta. It also fixed my message light problem. I am not any expert butthis fixed my transfer problem. Good Luck.

Sincerely, thephoneboy

Well tdaugirdas after I did that the AA dosent answer anymore. how do I program the VM ports to rotary?

Did you create a voice mail box, 791, as instructed? If not, then the voice mail will not answer. It also has to be of the correct type - in this case type 15 for AA1. The voice mail ports only have to be rotary enabled for a Magix Messaging module - not a Legend 007 MLM voice mail.

OK - here's a more obscure issue to check. How many TTR's in you system? Did you test them for proper operation?

As for "rotary enable" - your processor software version does not have that option.
