merlin legend external forwarding

lets say ext 3003 is currently set up as a "dummy" ext to externally forward. Using an MLX-20L phone, how can i change the number that it is currently forwarding to? need help asap.

The below is from a previous post by TouchToneTommy:

You can forward an adjunct extension (phantom) as well as a regular extension. You must make sure remote forward is on for the extension as well as assign an authorization code to the extension. You can then forward the adjunct from any phone by going off-hook, pressing #80, the authorization code and #, *33, the telephone number destination starting with "9" and # to enter.

So, for extension 100, authorization code 1234, you would press #80 1234# *33 91xxxxxxxxxx#

It will forward to that number until you change it.

real quick, the ext im using was forwarded somewhere else before. when i setup the forward that you gave me, it worked. a couple of tries later, it went to the old number. any help??

I guess I am a little confused. If this was an existing extension that had been forwarded in the past - did you know the old authorization code? If not - than that old forwarding information may still exist - and needs to be removed from programming. You could check by doing a "print" from the system - just for the extension in question - and see what it shows.

upon further testing. if i call its DID, it works. If i call the main number then option 1 (trans. to 3003) it works. it only doesnt work when i use a sa voice key from the phone here in the switch room. when i use a sa ring key it works.?

If it is an adjunct - it will not have an SA voice only SA ring - since the phantom is a phantom single-line phone. You may also want to go into centralized programming and under line preferences make sure the SA ring or SA originate button is picked first and intercom second - that is an outside line first and and the intercom line second.
