I have the following programmed into the merlin for my dial plan

Patterns: 286
Total digits: 4
Delete Digits: 3
Add digits: 11

My DiD range is 2860-2899 that need to be converted to match extensions 110-149---IE 2860 shud convert to 110, 2861 should convert to 2861 etc.. etc,,. i created ext 113 and dialed the 2863 DiD and it wne to the console. What am I missing.

Juan

I think that if you are expecting 4 digits, you would need 286X. Also, you would have to build a table for the 70's, 80's and 90's.

we did that also but all calls are still going to the console. Is there form or area that I have to fill in???/

Juan

Does the Call By Call service table have to be programmed at all????

Juan

Yes.

Is there any way you can do a PRI Info print out and paste up here.

Will be easier to help you if we can see the whole config.

I was reading a prior thread and It had the answer I was looking for Thanks.

Juan

merlinman,

You were the one who gave me the answer. Like I stated before i am new to the Magix system but boy i am learning alot. I just had to research on remote call forwarding and found threads fromlast year on how to do it. I am trying to talk him through it as i am typying this. You peeps are great. Now all I have to to is learn the Intertel Access and IMX systems for a new job i am starting. melinman the thread I was referring to is

Juan

Juan, BUENO!

I am glad I was able to help, even though you needed a time machine to get the answer.

Merlinman,

We are stuck. We have completed the following. Please bear with me. I am not at the site and am trying to get this done over the phone.

My partner has created an analog extension and gave it all the rights that it needs to RCF.

He is able to punch in the #80-Auth Code-#-*33-9-outside number-# and he recieves the confirmation tone from the PBX that it has been completed.

But when we dial the extension it just rings and rings. What is missing??? Do we need to set the LS Disconnect to Yes? Where do i do that?

I also read on Thread 689-1153499 something about un-assigning the lines then re-assigning them. Ahhhhhh

Any suggestions????

Juan

Don't know about the rest - but to set LS Disconnect to "yes. Press menu, system programming, start/exit, lines/trunks, TT/LS Disc, LS Disconnect, Yes, enter - then exit out.

Tom is correct.

YES, LS DISC needs to be set to YES.

If that still doesn't work, repost.

I will be looking for the next few.

What's your release of Legend? You may be too early to use the auth code to forward. You can still do it with remote access, if that is the problem.

(Changing laptops, so I don't have the Pocket Guide available - was it R7 minumum that allows it?)

What is the LS disconnect? Will it interfere with any other functions of the switch? I am having him change it now.

Juan

No it will not interfere - and it is required for remote forwarding.

Well, That didnt work either. I wish I was at the site doing this myself. Ok Here is what we have so far.

1.Merlin magix 3.0 switch
2.Analog extension 7163 assigned and succesfully forwarded
to an outside number with confirmation tone from pbx.
3. 7163 assigned with RCF rights and auth code assigned.
4. Trunk to Trunk tranfer acivated
5. FRL has been set to 3

Still not working.

I went by a cheat/cheat that TouchtoneTommy had on a prior post and also other threads I had read. I am also concerned that we seriously have opened up ourselves to some mayor hacking.

Juan

To all ,

I was wondering is there a command that will allow us to monitor the progress of a call. In the definity PBx they do, its a list trace command which givs u a blow by blow of what the call is doing.

Juan

Juan,
There is no easy way that I know of to monitor the progress of a call. When I was with AVAYA you could have tech support use the Monitor feature but they never allowed us( The techs) to do that.

So, are you saying that if you CALL 7163 DIRECTLY, it does not forward.

-OR- Is some other failure happening?

Merlinman,

I cannot tell if its forwarding or not. We hear confirmation tone when we forward the number to an outside number. But when we dial 7163 all it does is ring no answer. I have no way of monitoring the call process unless you know a trick or two. hehehe...
