Ok, so the small flooring company I work for bought a merlin 820 phone system for the new warehouse. I got the system up and running, but some phones can not be voice paged, while others can. I am assuming it is because some drops I used the existing 3 pair wire, and others I had run a new cat5 line. So my question is, can I make this all work with 6 wires ? Does someone have a pin out of the connections I can look at ? all the jacks are RJ 45, and the merlin has FP 2. Thanks in advance.

4-pair CAT 3 cable should work fine with the 820. Jacks can be wired using a 568B configuration.
But, given that the 820 has been out of production for many years, maybe an Avaya Partner ACS might have been a better choice as a telephone system. Only 2 pairs of wires are needed for each station and you can add a small voicemail/auto attendant.
