the company i work for has whats called a merlin 820d. a vendor sold us some mls12d phones and said they will work with this system.

we plug them in and nothing happens. the vendor told us that you can use whats called partner phones on a merlin 820.

im confused...

Hi fonehome,
The only thing like that I'm aware of are the ETR cards for the Magix. The phones do not operate like Partner phones any more either. Anyone know some history that I'm not aware of ??
On another note. I don't care for the MLS phones, or the older MLX phones. The button "pcb" is a flexible plastic with conductive traces that like to fail. The newer Partner phones and MLX phones are a way better bet.

A Merlin 820 can ONLY use Merlin "ATL" phones (the ones with the funny handset). Okay, you can use a single line with a BTMI adapter.

The MLS sets are only for Partner systems, and Magix systems with ETR cards.

You really need to find a better vendor. (And I only install/maintain them, I don't sell them)

Don't like T to the third power...

Acme Phone Works!

I read that on the address label of your magazined that I stole.

Hi TouchToneTommy,
Thanks, that's what I thought. Send 'em back fonehome! Get the ATL sets.
