I have customer with an Option 51 with a defective floppy and now a defective harddrive it appears. I definetly know the floppy is bad. In LD 43 I get an ERR0007 which tells me Storage Device Write Error. The action is to try again. I did this and same error. From what I can tell I have to change the floppy and the harddrive. After all this my question is what are my next steps after changing them out. I have a backup which was done in LD43 before all this happen.

This all depends on your software level. If you have the installation and maintanace books, find the section under harware replacement, find the NT part number in the book and follow the instructions. More than likely you will not be replacing just the hard and floppy drives - you will replace the card these drives are on. Once the card is replaced, you will load the software, and then you will restore the data.

If you need more help, let us know what software you are on and the card part number you will be replacing

Thanks Reusser,

I replaced the card, reloaded the system software and customer data.

Everything came back up and the customer is happy.

Thanks alot!!
