I currently have a supervisor with a night key on her phone. When she comes in, she presses the night key then the number 3 to place in to day mode. Last week I had a problem where her key locked up and was unable to place the system back in to day mode. Can anyone give me a suggestion as to what I can do as a failsafe? During the night they go to voicmemail, when it didn't switch callers were getting disconnected because the voicemail didn't know what to do with the calls. They would hear the recording in voicemail twice then "goodbye". Thanks!

As a failsafe you could set up the time of day tables in meridian mail and use that.

The time of day is currently set up for the night greeting and is schedueled to turn off at the time this acd group comes in. Should I set up another greeting to go on after this time in case they get stuck in night mode? Is there any such thing as a automatic day/night instead of manual?

yes, set it so the schedule reads 09:00 - 17:00 to day service (or your days) then 17:00 - 12:00 and 00:00 - 09:00 to days. this would take away the supy's control of the Q. You'd have to set a ncfw up to cope with any unforseen events during working days ie fire and you'll have to add all your holiday dates as well.
