Anyone know how to print to a file from mte, i checked the manual and followed the instructions but it did not work

What type of printer do you have? I think it only works with older versions of HP? When you setup a Data Stream, there should be an option in there to select printers?

Are you recieving any file whatsoever? If so what app are you using to open it?

In Options/Printer Port what do you have in the File field?

I am setting mte to print to file, then selecting data stream, do you have to create a file? or does mte create it for you, also can i just save a report to a file

Make sure you are identifing a path for this file. Give the file a name that you will clearly recognize as well. Just ask if you have any questions.

Is there not a F5 button or Control P to select the printer also?
