I setup a remote notification on an extension in MerMail. The problem I'm having is the notification is not going to the cell phone. I've tried every Device Type and nothing is working. Any suggestions? Thanks
Does your system have the permissions to dial out of the system? Restriction-Permission list in Meridian Mail, NCOS allows outdialing, no TGAR restriction?
I placed the cell phone number in the restriction/permission list in Meridian Mail, I also checked the NPA and NXX and verified the RLI to make sure the call could get out. Everything looks OK, not sure what to do next. The cell phone number is also used as the zero-out option for this mailbox. When I hit "0" I get silence then a dial tone.
First, I would recommend using a "dummy" ACD queue in this instance, rather than opening up your voicemail system to potential fraud.
Program an ACD queue (LD23), putting the cellphone number in at the NCFW prompt and 1 in the MAXP prompt. You may need to put the ACOD of the route, if 9 + number doesn't work. Then use that for your zero out and remote notification for that one mailbox.
However, if you are certain you want to go the other way, check the NCOS and TGAR on your mail ports. (Not sure of the TNs? Go to LD 81 and type LST at the REQ prompt, then VMA at the FEAT prompt. It will list your Meridian Mail TNs.)
