sss98...make sure that extension is not in someones mailbox

check all dn's on the set. you can also do a find for message waiting indication in mail on the same screen as you would use to add, delete, or modify users.

what type of mail... you can search be mwi under advanced search in cp.. the other option is someone with a mik key.. mik turns on a lamp, mck turns it off..

i keep those on my set, if i out a phone to change set type, i can turn the msg lamp back on.. other wise it would stay dark until the next lamp audit or msg

In Mer Mail:
Choose user admin from log on : opt 1, opt 1 choose FIND (F5)
Under Message Waiting Indication DN enter the DN with issues.
Choose LIST (F3)
After a few minutes it will show a list of all mailboxes that cause the lamp to light at that extension. You can go into each box and remove the DN if needed, or inform the user it was put there to make sure they monitored that mailbox too!

I try F5 but there is responce on my F5 key when I press it. Bad keyboard?? I can press F1 to F4

thanks

You need to map the F5 key. If using Procomm Options/keyboard editor enter ^[OM and save. this should activate it and give you access.

you need to map your keyboard, in procomm click on options>keyboard editor>F5 key and change that to ^[OM

or if you don't want to map your f5 key, the right CTRL key + the numpad Enter key acts as F5...for a VT100 emul anyway

yyrkroon: Good tip, I tried it in Procomm and it works well, thanks for the alternate! take a star!

I am using Hyperacess. And the right CTRL key + the numpad Enter key acts as F5 doesn't work still can't get the F5 key to work. any idea??

I use Hyperterminal to access most things, but to run scripts or access voice mail I use Procomm. It is a good package that does many things including allowing you to program the F5 key. I have not been able to set up the F5 on Hyperterminal, I assume Hyperaccess has the same issues, being from the same company. You might want to go out and look for Procomm Plus on line, you don't need the biggest, latest and best version, they all work pretty well. Hope this helps!

What is the setting for using Procomm? is it the same as hyperterminal? 8 n 1 9600 VT100?

thanks
