Meridian mail shows DSP port status as out of service. Will not enable. All 24 ports show out of service. Should I replace the MMP40 card. Will this fix the problem? There are no faulty ports and I have rebooted the Meridian Mail several times. Thanks

All the cards show that they are "In Service" (UTIL and MMP40 cards)but the DSP Port Status shows all the Ports as "Out of Service". and will not enable. When I select "Enable Port", I get an error message"Maintenance action Failed" Please check SEERs for cause."
seers code are 4173, 4144

Looks like you have bad voice ports in the mail, what kind of switch is it

From the SEERs message node 1 is out of service. How do I enable node 1?

It's been about 15 years since I worked on MM, but did you check the Option 61 Digital ports?

This is an Analogy so don't take it personally as some have.

Why change the engine if all you need is to change the spark plugs.

Run an out of service test on the cards in meridian mail then reenable the card.

If your aml is down try to enable it, if this doesnt work you may have to reboot again and type enl aml x acms.

Even though your TN's in the PBX are idle, they may not be logged in. Try disabling and then re-enabling the TN's in the PBX associated with the vmail. This should log them in automatically

Do a STAT on the LOOP/CARD they are on and that will tell you if they are logged in or logged out.

My Layer 7 is down and disabled and will not enable. the layer 2 is "W_EST".

I tried enl aml 6 acms but got error LNK229....help

ACMS command is for the option 11. Check your msdl card. post your aml here.

Not sure if you go it going but you have to find out what your AML link is on (most likely MSDL card as tnphoneman suggested)

Make sure you MSDL card is up and running and try
LD 48
ENL AML n AUTO

MMP40 is a good step if you verify the cables and everything else looks good.

The MM OS/data on the harddrive was corrupted, so I had to start from scratch and reinstall MM.

Did you try TNPhonemans suggestion?

Run an out of service test on the cards in meridian mail then reenable the card.

If the Mail software detects a fault condition on a DSP it will disable the DSP and will not let you re-enable it until you have run the test utility, even if the original fault condition is long gone!

I had to reboot my system and when it came back up the meridian mail has a link fault 1-7-2. Now I have no voicemail. I'm not sure which card 1-7-2 is referring to.

This happened once before and after a few days it seemed to fix itself?

Thanks in Advance,

David
