meridian mail access

hi guys

we have an option 61 with mermail is there a way to direct connect to the application ...i know with a optin 11 you can do AX to get into it , we wanna get rid of all modems
and has any of you used lantronix devices serial to rj45 to they work well??

Tt is certainly possible to direct connect - that's what the modem is doing right now. There was a local terminal connected when the system was installed too.
