Meridian Line setup help

Hello All

I have a Nortel CICS system and would like each of my 4 lines to ring individually. What happened is i had a tech here to do a job he claimed took 1.5 hours [at $100 an hour] come in. He changed the way incoming calls come in so we can no longer select individual lines, only the phone system handles what line is picked up when we make outgoing call and when calls com in. Well, after a week and paying $300 out of who knows what it would have cost me + loss of 1 weeks business] i kicked him out and told him i would not pay and additional. But i would love to revert my phones back to the way they were. I have a compact ICS with Callpilot. Just giving me any insight of the feature name or what this kind of call routing is called would help me at some capacity and any answers would be appreciated.

Also i would like to program the buttons back to 'line1' line2' etc on the phones. Thanks all.
 
Thats a big request!
First you need to know how to get into programming and how to navigate the system. Then you would need to learn adding/removing lines to/from pools, line assignments, ringing and so forth.

Do you know any navigation progrmming?
What country are you in?

I can Navigate to pretty much anywhere, I just dont know where i need to goto or the name of the function to change this. Is there a way to reset the system to default?
 
Unplug, then replug and within 15 mins. press, startup, password, follow menu.

Do you still have line 1, line 2, etc... buttons on your phone? When you pick up the handset, does it automatically go to an outside line, and is that the problem?

"Prime line" is the setting in programming that dictates which dial tone is selected when the handset is lifted. By default, it's set for intercom (internal dial tone). Changing this to Pool A for each set will cause the system to select the last line in the group every time you lift the handset. You can still punch a different line, or intercom if you prefer.

If that's the trouble you're having, it's a pretty easy fix. Prime Line is under Terminals & Sets.
 
how do i reprogram a line to a button after i set the phones to pool-a?
 
I dont think you told us what version software but will assume newer....

Set&Terms
Show set 2XX
Show again untill you see Line Access
Show Agian until you see Line Assignment
Show Line 001 (Line 1)
Press Change until you see Appear and Ring
Press Next to do next line.


 
Wow, thanks, I finally have the individual line buttons working again!!! Thanks a million, but line 3 still only works on handsfree for outgoing calls, how can i add this to the buttons as well?
