Hi I am a x nortel passport/dms-er and have just landed a job for the meridian. i have all the books but cant remember from 15 years ago. here goes humiliation - i understand that i must us LDs to pull up a certain pkg but (heres the kicker) once ive logged in and put in the pw how do i actually load a program. for example do i just type in ld 86 or whatever? is there a place that can give me an overview of the basic commands other than the massive ntps? thank you in advance-excuse the ignorance!

You are correct. For example:

LD 20 <enter>
REQ NEW <ENTER>
TYPE 2008 <ENTER>

etc etc....

I'm not ure about the overview you are asking for.

Hope This Helps,

the nortel website may have a list of loads, ld 20 will prt dn,s and tn's you can also add or change analog or digital sets and do stat x x x x on a tn.. 15 years ago that took ld's 10,11 20 and 32... now they are all linked... new trunks are in ld 14 new routes are in ld 16.. cust data block can be printed in 21 and changed in ld 15.. cfn (adan) can be printed in load 22 and mod in load 17..let us know what you are trying to do and someone will get you started.. the job should have a set of 3 i/o manuals..
